HOW TO CHOOSE THE LENGHT OF FLEXIBLE STEERING CABLE FOR INSTALLATION

UPON REQUEST WE CAN SUPPLY DIFFERENT DIMENSIONS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS CATALOGUE

For new installation, measure A+B distance from the control along an unobstructed cable routing. Round this dimension off to the next whole foot, you will have your cable length. It is strongly recommended that the cable bends have a minimum radius of about 200 mm (8"). To have the lenght of the cable expressed in feet, you have to divide the result obtained in cm for 30,5 and round to the superior feet size. For outboard engine installations it is necessary to add 90 cm (3") to the obtained lenght, in order to allow the engine movement. To determine the needed length of the replacement cable, measure it from tip to tip. When ordering, specify the cable lenght in meter or feet, rounding the dimension off to the next whole value.
